The last pandemic was still in the people memory that news of new virus from China is buzzing on different social media networks including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. These videos on these platforms are scaring people all around the world. But, is it really a new Coronavirus and that big? There is no any verification by Health Department of China and World Health Organization (WHO). So, what HMPV is?

Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV)

The HMPV is a virus that usually causes symptoms similar to cold and by resulting to cough, wheeze and running nose.

Human Metapneumovirus or HMPV is a virus belongs to pneumoviridae family, that causes symptoms similar to cold but it can result to worse with people with weakened immune systems. However, if you have HMPV, you can experience cold, cough, wheeze or even running nose. But children or elderly people, particularly people above 65, are heavily suffering for this disease. This virus has been there for many years, it is not new.
